General Terms and Conditions
Students can start a course at any given moment, after consultation with their teacher. If a course is not started at the beginning of a month, a proportional part of the course fee will be charged for that first month.
The monthly course fee as stated on the website entitles the student to 1 hour of private lessons, access to the course website, correction of the exercises that are part of the course, and tutoring. If there is to be half-an-hour’s private lesson more in the month to come, the fee will be raised by €22,50. If there is to be half-an-hour’s private lesson less, the fee will be reduced accordingly.
The monthly course fee must be paid before the beginning of each new month, by transferring it to bank account number 1309.26.752 of the Cybercentre for English Language Learning in Bergschenhoek, The Netherlands, stating the name of the course, unless it is stated otherwise on the invoice. If the fee is not paid in time, the lessons as stated on the invoice will not be taught en the student will be denied access to the course website.
It’s for the student to decide what the study pace will be. It is possible to adjust the content of the course and or the content of the lessons to a certain extent , in consultation with the teacher.
If a student is unable attend a lesson, that lesson can be rescheduled, provided the cancellation was duly reported to the Cybercentre teacher.
In the case of a teacher’s illness, the lessons missed will be rescheduled or Cybercentre will provide a replacement. No lessons will be cancelled.
At a student’s request and in consultation with the Cybercentre, a course may be interrupted for a certain period, for instance in the case of a student’s long-term illness or other special circumstances. In this case no money is refunded. No course fees will have to be paid for the weeks in which the course is interrupted. During the interval a student may be refused access to the course website.
The Cybercentre reserves the right to make changes in the lesson material published on the website. However, this does not include mandatory coursebooks for students who have already started on the course involved.
The Cybercentre reserves the right to end a student’s course prematurely if there is reason for this. A course may be ended at the end of a month without a refund, or at any given time in the month, with a refund in proportion to the hours of private lessons still owed to that student.
Students can stop their course at any given time, without giving notice, but no part of the course fee will be refunded.
Taking part in a course does not oblige the student to actually take part in the exam.
Taking part in a course or getting favourable remarks or advice from a Cybercentre teacher do not guarantee that the student will pass the exam.
Students who pay the complete course fee before the start of their course, receive a 10% discount. They still have the right to end their course at any given time, without giving notice, but no part of the course fee will be refunded.
